Imaginatively designed and converted by owner Ron Ward into an art space from an existing squash courts building, The Tree Frog Gallery is an artistic architectural piece in itself, both inside and out. The building has been awarded in 2002 for innovative commercial redevelopment in the region by the Building Designers' Association of Queensland.

Ron is an accomplished graphic artist and businessman who abandoned the big city for the relaxed lifestyle of the Sunshine Coast hinterland. His previous career was involved with a clothing label making retail resortwear and screenprinting business.

The exterior of the building has been remodelled in modern corrugated iron for an authentic Australian look whilst the elegant gallery verandahs feature timber fittings.
